Abstract: The present invention relates to a positive electrode active material for a lithium sulfur battery wherein the positive electrode active material comprises a sulfur carbon complex and the sulfur carbon complex comprises a porous carbon material and a sulfur based material. The porous carbon material satisfies at least one of: the sum of the particle sizes D10 and D90 being 60 ??? or less; or the distribution ratio of the particle sizes D10 to D90 being 7 or less so that a lithium sulfur battery implementing high power density and high capacity can be provided.
