Abstract: A battery according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises: an electrode assembly; a housing having an open portion formed on one side thereof and a closed portion formed opposite to the open portion, the housing being configured to accommodate the electrode assembly through the open portion; and an insulator which comprises a cover portion, interposed between the closed portion and the electrode assembly, and a side portion, interposed between the outer circumferential surface of the electrode assembly and the side wall of the housing, the side portion comprising a stress relief portion formed to have a predetermined depth from the end thereof.
