Abstract: The present invention relates to an electrode assembly for a cylindrical lithium secondary battery, in which a positive electrode, a negative electrode, and a separator interposed therebetween are wound in one direction, wherein: the positive electrode comprises a positive electrode current collector and a positive electrode active material layer; the negative electrode comprises an uncoated part, which does not have a negative electrode active material layer disposed on the negative electrode current collector, and a coated part, which has a negative electrode active material layer disposed on the negative electrode current collector; the coated part comprises a first region, in which the thickness of the negative electrode active material layer is constant, and a second region, in which the thickness of the negative electrode active material layer decreases; and the following formula (1) is satisfied.
