Abstract: The present invention relates to a lithium-sulfur battery having high energy density, and provides a lithium-sulfur battery comprising a compound defined through a characteristic peak of the XRD pattern in a discharged state. The lithium-sulfur battery according to an aspect of the present invention has high energy density. In particular, the lithium-sulfur battery of the present invention can have an energy density of 300 Wh/kg or more, and furthermore, 430 Wh/kg or more.
