Cathode Active Material And Positive Electrode And Lithium Secondary Battery Which Comprise Same

Abstract: The present invention relates to a cathode active material comprising a lithium nickel based transition metal oxide having a large particle diameter and a lithium nickel based transition metal oxide having a small particle diameter wherein the lithium nickel based transition metal oxide having a large particle diameter has a secondary particle form which is an aggregate of primary particles and the lithium nickel based transition metal oxide having a small particle diameter has at least one form from among a single particle which is composed of one nodule and a quasi single particle which is a composite of 30 or less nodules. Provided is a lithium secondary battery in which the cathode active material is applied to a cathode so as to suppress cracking of cathode active material particles and thus lifespan and output characteristics are improved and gas generation amount is reduced.
