Abstract: The present invention relates to a battery module and a method for determining the center of battery cells. Specifically the present invention makes it possible to measure the center position of the battery cells in a non contact manner to prevent misalignment of the battery cells and prevent damage to the battery cells and thereby improve the quality of the battery module. The battery module according to the present invention is characterized by comprising: a plurality of battery cells; and a battery cell case for accommodating the plurality of battery cells wherein the center position of each of the plurality of battery cells in the longitudinal direction is displayed on the surface of the battery cell.
