Cathode Active Material, Method For Preparing Same, Cathode Comprising Same, And Lithium Secondary Battery

Abstract: A cathode active material according to the present invention comprises a single particle composed of one single nodule, a pseudo-single particle that is a composite of 30 or fewer nodules, or a combination thereof, and contains a lithium nickel oxide where the molar ratio of Ni to the total transition metals is 60 mol% or more, wherein the negative skewness factor (NSF) expressed by Equation 1 is 0.20 to 0.35. [Equation 1] NSF = (D50 - D10) / Imax In equation 1, D50 is the particle size at the point where the cumulative volume is 50% in the volume cumulative particle size distribution graph of the cathode active material; D10 is the particle size at the point where the cumulative distribution is 10% in the volume cumulative particle size distribution graph of the cathode active material; and Imax is the maximum volume fraction in the volume cumulative particle size distribution graph of the cathode active material.
