Abstract: The present application relates to a negative electrode active material, a method for preparing a negative electrode active material, a negative electrode composition, a negative electrode comprising same for a lithium secondary battery, and a lithium secondary battery comprising the negative electrode, the negative electrode active material comprising a silicon-based active material, which is a mixture of silicon-based particles and a binder, wherein the silicon-based particles have a grain size of 100 nm or less, the particle size (D50) of the silicon-based active material is 1 to 20 µm, and the binder is contained in a content of 1 to 15 parts by weight relative to 100 parts by weight of the silicon-based active material.
