Cylindrical Lithium Secondary Battery

Abstract: The present invention relates to a cylindrical lithium secondary battery comprising: an electrode assembly in which a cathode plate, an anode plate, and a separator interposed between the cathode plate and the anode plate are wound in one direction; a battery can that accommodates the electrode assembly; an electrolyte injected into the battery can; and a sealing body for sealing an open end portion of the battery can, wherein: each of the cathode plate and the anode plate includes an uncoated portion on which an active material layer is not formed, and has a structure in which the uncoated portion of the cathode plate and/or the uncoated portion of the anode plate defines an electrode tab; in the cylindrical lithium secondary battery, the form factor ratio is 0.4 or more, and the diameter of a core portion of the electrode assembly is 5 mm to 8 mm; the electrolyte comprises a lithium salt, an organic solvent and an additive; the additive comprises a compound represented by chemical formula 1, a cyclic carbonate compound, and 1,3-propane sultone; the compound represented by chemical formula 1 is included in an amount of 0.5 wt% to 5.0 wt% on the basis of the total amount of the electrolyte; and the compound represented by chemical formula 1, the cyclic carbonate compound and the 1,3-propane sultone are included in a weight ratio of 1:0.5:0.2 to 1:20:10.
