Abstract: A spring steel wire with improved permanent deformation resistance, according to one embodiment, comprises, by weight percent, C: 0.39-0.51%, Si: 1.30-1.70%, Mn: 0.20-0.45%, P: 0.015% or less, S: 0.020% or less, Cr: 0.50-0.80%, Ti: 0.015-0.030%, B: 0.0010-0.0040%, N: 0.003-0.015%, the remainders being Fe and inevitable impurities, wherein the spring steel wire may have a dislocation density in the range of 6.0x1013 to 3.0x1014 m-2.
