Welding Heat Shielding Member, Electrode Assembly Damage Prevention Structure Using Same, And Battery Cell Using Same

Abstract: Provided is a battery cell which includes: a can including a bottom member and a side wall member; a cap covering an opening of the can; and an electrode assembly provided inside the can. A current collection plate is connected to electrode tabs provided at a second end disposed at an open end of the can, among first and second ends disposed at the respective sides of the electrode assembly in the axial direction. The current collection plate includes: an electrode tab connection part which is in contact with and electrically connected to the electrode tabs; a can connection part which is provided farther outside in the radial direction than the electrode tab connection part, and is in contact with and electrically connected to the can; and a conductive connection part which electrically connects the can connection part and the electrode tab connection part. The circumference of one end of the side wall member and the outer circumference of the cap in the radial direction are seam welded in the circumferential direction, and at least a part of a heat insulating member is interposed between the current collection plate and the electrode assembly in the axial direction.
