Sealing Device And Pouch Type Secondary Battery Sealed Thereby

Abstract: A sealing device according to an embodiment of the present invention may seal a pouch type battery case including an accommodation part in which an electrode assembly is accommodated and a terrace part positioned on the circumference of the accommodation part. The sealing device may include a pair of sealing tools configured to face each other with the terrace part therebetween and to adjust a distance therebetween. Each sealing tool may comprise: a protruding part protruding toward the terrace part; and a recessed part formed to be stepped with the protruding part. When the pair of sealing tools press the terrace part, the distance between the protruding parts of the pair of sealing tools may be adjusted to be 68 % to 82 % of the initial thickness of the terrace part.
