Motor Control Device And Railway Vehicle Driving System

Abstract: This motor control device (11) of the present invention is mounted to a railway vehicle and integrally controls a plurality of propulsion motors (3a, 3b) that apply a driving force to the railway vehicle and another railway vehicle being towed by the railway vehicle. The railway vehicle comprises: continuously variable transmission systems (26a, 26b) that are interposed between the propulsion motors (3a, 3b) and wheel axles (20a, 20b) of the railway vehicle and are configured to be able to continuously change a transmission gear ratio that is the ratio of the motor speed that is the rotation speed of the propulsion motors (3a, 3b), with respect to the wheel speed that is the speed of the wheels (6a, 6b) coupled by the wheel axles (20a, 20b). The motor control device (11) implements first control for adjusting the transmission gear ratio to be instructed to the continuously variable transmission systems (26a, 26b) on the basis of wheel diameter information that is information on the length in the radial direction of the plurality of wheels (6a, 6b).
