Threaded Joint

Abstract: Provided is a slim threaded joint that has excellent sealing performance with respect to internal pressure, excellent sealing performance with respect to external pressure, and excellent strength with respect to compressive loads and that maintains sealing performance with respect to external pressure even after repeated loading. The present invention provides a slim threaded joint in which external pressure seals 21, 31 and internal pressure seals 23, 33 are provided in front of and behind thread parts 22, 32, a nose part 24 for maintaining internal pressure sealing performance is provided to a tip part of a pin 2, and torque shoulder surfaces 25, 35 are provided to the tip of the nose part 24, wherein contact between insertion surfaces of the thread parts 22, 32 during compressive loading bears a portion of the compressive load. The shoulder angle ? of the torque shoulder surfaces 25, 35 is reduced to reduce the amount that the pin 2 presses into a box 3 and the amount that an open end part of the box 2 undergoes diameter-reducing deformation toward the inside in the radial direction during compressive loading and to suppress accumulation of damage near an outer seal surface.
