Continuous Casting System And Melt Level Estimation Method

Abstract: The continuous casting system is equipped with a camera 21 that photographs the melt level of molten steel accommodated in a continuous casting mold 5 and the inner surface of the mold 5, and an estimation unit 123. The estimating unit 123 estimates a boundary position on the basis of: input data based on video data including multiple images taken in time series by the camera 21, an estimation model generated by machine learning to represent the relationship between the boundary position between the melt level and the inner surface of the mold 5 within the field of view of the camera 21; and new input data.
