Abstract: This bolt has a prescribed chemical composition, and at least 95% of the metal structure at the D/4 position, where D is the shaft diameter, is a hard structure. The bolt has a tensile strength of 800 to 1700 MPa and has a ratio ßMAX/ßC of not more than 1.50, where ßC is the full width at half maximum of the X-ray diffraction peak corresponding to the (211) plane of the ferrite phase at the shaft center of the connecting part between the bolt head and the shaft, and ßMAX is the maximum value of the full width at half maximum of the X-ray diffraction peak corresponding to the (211) plane of the ferrite phase in the region from the surface of the connecting part to a depth of 500 µm towards the center axis of the shaft.
