Battery Management Device And Operating Method Thereof

Abstract: A battery management device according to one embodiment disclosed in the present document may comprise: a voltage measurement unit for measuring the voltage of each of a plurality of battery banks; and a controller for calculating a first voltage, which is the amount of change in voltage of each of the plurality of battery banks during a predetermined period, calculating a second voltage of each of the plurality of battery banks on the basis of the maximum value of the first voltage of the plurality of battery banks and the average value of the first voltage of each of the plurality of battery banks, and diagnosing at least one battery bank from among the plurality of battery banks on the basis of the average value of the second voltage of the plurality of battery banks and the second voltage of each of the plurality of battery banks.
