Abstract: An adhesive joint structure is adopted which includes a first member, a second member, and an adhesive layer that joins the first member and the second member. Either or both of the first member and the second member include a steel material and a plating layer. The surface of the plating layer is an uneven surface. In a cross section of the plating layer, the relationship between a longitudinal length Lo of the plating layer in an observation region of the cross section and a total length Lr of the contour line of the surface of the plating layer in the observation region satisfies the following formula (1), and at least some of a plurality of massive binary eutectic structures or a plurality of massive ternary eutectic structures included in the plating layer are continuously present from the surface of the plating layer to a position at one-half an average thickness of the plating layer.
