Abstract: This wound core 10 has a wound shape that is formed by layering folded steel sheets, wherein the wound core 10 is formed in a rectangular shape having a hollow portion 15 at the center by having a plurality of flat portions 4 and a plurality of bent portions 5 adjacent to the flat portions 4 in a side view in which the wound shape is viewed from a direction along a surface of the steel sheets, and a tensile stress of 10 MPa or more is introduced in one or a plurality of positions in the sheet thickness direction of the steel sheets in a predetermined region within 30 mm on the side of a boundary b flat surface portion 4 between a bent portion 5 and a flat portion 4 of the steel sheets in a cross-section that is orthogonal to the surface of the steel sheets and follows the winding direction.
