Abstract: ABSTRACT APPARATUS FOR SEALING AN INTERFACE IN AN INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE (ICE) An apparatus (100) for sealing an interface between a cylinder head (102) and a cam box (104) in an internal combustion engine (ICE) is disclosed. The apparatus (100) comprises at least one gasket body (106) configured to provide a sealing function at the interface. The apparatus (100) further comprises at least one sealing unit (108) operationally coupled to the at least one gasket body (106). The at least one sealing unit (108) is configured to provide a variable sealing profile by adjusting its compression characteristics based at least on a distribution of fastening forces across the interface. The apparatus (100) further comprises at least one carrier (110) operationally coupled to the at least one sealing unit (108). The at least one carrier (110) is configured to prevent twisting and misalignment during assembly of the at least one sealing unit (108) at the interface. <>

at least one sealing unit (108) operationally coupled to the at least one gasket body (106), wherein the at least one sealing unit (108) is configured to provide a variable sealing profile by adjusting compression characteristics based at least on a distribution of fastening forces across the interface; and
