Indoor Unit Of Air Conditioner

Abstract: This indoor unit of an air conditioner comprises a mounting plate fixed to a wall surface and a main body having a heat exchanger and a blower fan inside including a rear case attached to the mounting plate and forming box shaped outer casing wherein the mounting plate has a base portion a protrusion portion with a hook shaped portion and an upper support hook for hooking the main body wherein the rear case has a hook insertion portion hooked to the upper support hook and a central insertion portion into which the hook shaped portion is inserted wherein the central insertion portion includes a rear wall portion and a central wall portion with a hook shaped lower end portion and wherein the hook shaped portion inserted into the central insertion portion faces the rear wall portion and the central wall portion in the longitudinal direction of the main body and when the main body is tilted the lower end portion of the central wall portion and the tip portion of the hook shaped portion come into contact with each other so that upward movement of the main body by a set distance or more is restricted.

An indoor unit (100) of an air-conditioning apparatus (10), comprising:
a mounting plate (300) designed to be fixed to a wall surface; and5
a main body (200) including a heat exchanger (120) and an air-sending fan (110)
inside, the main body (200) further including a back case (210) attached to the mounting
plate (300), the main body (200) forming a box-shaped outer shell,
the mounting plate (300) including
a base (305) having a flat shape, the base (305) being designed to be fixed10
to the wall surface,
a projection (330) having a box shape projecting from the base (305)
toward the main body (200) in a state in which the main body (200) is attached to the
mounting plate (300), the projection (330) including a hook-shaped portion (333) having
a hook shape projecting upward at an end portion of the projection (330) in a projecting15
direction of the projection (330), and
upper support hooks (310) provided, above the projection (330), at left and
right of the projection (330), the upper support hooks (310) projecting upward from the
base (305) and toward the main body (200) in the state in which the main body (200) is
attached to the mounting plate (300), the main body (200) being hooked on the upper20
support hooks (310) when the main body (200) is attached to the mounting plate (300),
the back case (210) including
hook insertion portions (211) into which the respective upper support hooks
(310) are inserted and that are hooked on the respective upper support hooks (310)
when the main body (200) is attached to the mounting plate (300), and25
a central insertion portion (212) designed such that the hook-shaped
portion (333) is inserted into the central insertion portion (212) when the main body
(200) is attached to the mounting plate (300),
the central insertion portion (212) including
a back wall portion (214) forming a back wall of the main body (200), and30

a central wall portion (213) having a plate-like shape, the central wall
portion (213) being provided on an outside of the back wall portion (214) and spaced
from the back wall portion (214), the central wall portion (213) projecting downward from
an upper part of the back case (210), the central wall portion (213) having a lower end
portion having a hook shape,5
when the main body (200) is attached to the mounting plate (300), the hook-
shaped portion (333) inserted into the central insertion portion (212) facing the back wall
portion (214) and the central wall portion (213) in a front-rear direction of the main body
(200),
when a front part of the main body (200) is lifted up and the main body (200) is10
inclined, the lower end portion of the central wall portion (213) and an end portion of the
hook-shaped portion (333) being in contact with each other, thus preventing the main
body (200) from moving upward more than a set distance
wherein,
the projection (330) further includes a bulging portion (331) projecting from the15
base (305), the bulging portion (331) having a W-shaped section parallel to a plate
surface of the base (305), the bulging portion (331) being formed such that a sectional
shape of the bulging portion (331) shrinks from a base portion toward the end portion,
the bulging portion (331) being integrally formed with the base (305), the base portion
being a bottom part of the projection (330), and20
an end wall portion (332) provided at the end portion of the projection (330), the
end wall portion (332) having a plate-like shape, the end wall portion (332) facing the
back wall portion (214) when the main body (200) is attached to the mounting plate
(300),
the hook-shaped portion (333) is provided to an upper part of the end wall portion25
(332) and includes an inclined piece (334) inclined to the end wall portion (332) at an
end of the hook-shaped portion (333), the inclined piece (334) extending upward and
toward the base (305),

the central wall portion (213) includes an inclined wall portion (213d) formed such
that the inclined wall portion (213d) projects toward the back wall portion (214) from an
upper part to a lower part of the central wall portion (213),
the inclined wall portion (213d) forms an inclined surface, at a surface facing the
back wall portion (214), facing upward and toward the back wall portion (214), and5
when the front part of the main body (200) is lifted up and the main body (200) is
inclined, the inclined wall portion (213d) of the central wall portion (213) and the inclined
piece (334) of the hook-shaped portion (333) are in contact with each other, thus
preventing the main body (200) from moving upward more than the set distance.
[Claim 2]10
The indoor unit (100) of an air-conditioning apparatus (10) of claim 1, wherein
the end wall portion (332) and the hook-shaped portion (333) include a contact
bent portion (303) at which outer edge parts of the end wall portion (332) and the hook-
shaped portion (333) are folded back short and plate surfaces are in close contact with
each other, and15
the contact bent portion (303) is formed continuously from the end wall portion
(332) to the hook-shaped portion (333).
[Claim 3]
The indoor unit (100) of an air-conditioning apparatus (10) of claim 1 or 2,
wherein20
the bulging portion (331) includes
an upper opening (330a) formed by an upper edge portion of the bulging
portion (331), the upper opening (330a) opening upward, and
a top portion (331c) being a plate-like part extending from the base (305)
toward the end wall portion (332), the top portion (331c) forming a center top of a W-25
shaped part of the bulging portion (331), the top portion (331c) being formed below the
upper opening (330a) in the bulging portion (331),
when the main body (200) is attached to the mounting plate (300), the central wall
portion (213) is disposed above the upper opening (330a), and

when the upper support hooks (310) are detached from the respective hook
insertion portions (211), the central wall portion (213) is inserted into the bulging portion
(331) through the upper opening (330a), comes into contact with the top portion (331c),
and is hooked on the projection (330).
[Claim 4]5
The indoor unit (100) of an air-conditioning apparatus (10) of claim 3, wherein
the hook insertion portions (211) are provided at respective end portions of the
main body (200) in a left-right direction along the plate surface of the base (305), the
left-right direction being perpendicular to an up-down direction, and
the central insertion portion (212) is provided at a center of the main body (200) in10
the left-right direction.
