particularly, to a method and an electronic device for tracking a traveller of a country to
enhance security and safety of the country.
Description of the Related Art
[0002] Existing data management of tourism industry is unstructured and
10 unclassified. The tourism industry lacks specific tools to store or retrieve traveller’s
information from various platforms such bureau of immigration, hotel booking websites, and
the like. In general legal enforcement authorities such as local police station and similar
authorities require the tourism industry to provide report on traveller’s accommodation
information on regular basis. The report was received by the authorities through traditional
15 paper or document format. Searching for specific records through the traditional paper or the
document format is challenging and often leads to missing necessary details of the traveller.
Small or medium accommodations are unable to maintain a dedicated database for storing
traveller’s information.
[0003] Accordingly, there remains a need for a method and an electronic device for
20 tracking a traveller of a country to enhance security and safety of the country.

smart watch, a tablet computer, a laptop computer, a virtual reality device, an immersive
system, an Internet of Things (IoT) device, or any other device that can make/receive calls
over the telecommunication network. The accommodation may be hotels, guest house, home
stay, and the like. The accommodation is geo tagged which allows the law enforcement
6
authorities to locate the accommodation easily. The traveller 5 includes a domestic traveller or
a foreigner.

to make reservation for hotels. The law enforcement office tracks the traveller when the
traveller is involved in a crime or accident using the traveller’s information. The information
controller 110 is further configured to broadcast the traveller’s information to one or more
15 law enforcement offices when the traveller is involved the crime or accident.
[00017] In some embodiments, the traveller’s information is extracted from a data
submitted on online and automatically generating Form C of the Bureau of Immigration
Standards.
[00018] Data about travellers who are not entering the country without valid
20 documents is traced and reported to the respective authorities using their biometric
identification such as Fingerprint, Face, and Retina recognition.
[00019] Further, the processor 140 is configured to execute instructions stored in the
memory 130 and to perform various processes. The communicator 120 is configured for
communicating internally between internal hardware components and with external devices
25 via one or more networks. The memory 130 also stores instructions to be executed by the
processor 140. The memory 130 may include non-volatile storage elements. Examples of
such non-volatile storage elements may include magnetic hard discs, optical discs, floppy
discs, flash memories, or forms of electrically programmable memories (EPROM) or
electrically erasable and programmable (EEPROM) memories. In addition, the memory 130
7
may, in some examples, be considered a non-5 transitory storage medium. The term “nontransitory”
may indicate that the storage medium is not embodied in a carrier wave or a
propagated signal. However, the term “non-transitory” should not be interpreted that the
memory 130 is non-movable. In certain examples, a non-transitory storage medium may store
data that can, over time, change (e.g., in Random Access Memory (RAM) or cache).

purpose processor, such as a central processing unit (CPU), an application processor (AP), or
15 the like, a graphics-only processing unit such as a graphics processing unit (GPU), a visual
processing unit (VPU), and/or an AI-dedicated processor such as a neural processing unit
(NPU).
[004] The one or a plurality of processors control the processing of the input data in
accordance with a predefined operating rule or artificial intelligence (AI) model stored in the
20 non-volatile memory and the volatile memory. The predefined operating rule or artificial
intelligence model is provided through training or learning.
[005] Here, being provided through learning means that a predefined operating rule or
AI model of a desired characteristic is made by applying a learning algorithm to a plurality of
learning data. The learning may be performed in a device itself in which AI according to an
25 embodiment is performed, and/o may be implemented through a separate server/system.
[006] The AI model includes of a plurality of neural network layers. Each layer has a
plurality of weight values and performs a layer operation through calculation of a previous
layer and an operation of a plurality of weights. Examples of neural networks include, but are
not limited to, convolutional neural network (CNN), deep neural network (DNN), recurrent
8
neural network (RNN), restricted Boltzmann Machine 5 (RBM), deep belief network (DBN),
bidirectional recurrent deep neural network (BRDNN), generative adversarial networks
(GAN), and deep Q-networks.
[007] The learning algorithm is a method for training a predetermined system (for
example, a robot) using a plurality of learning data to cause, allow, or control the system to
10 make a determination or prediction. Examples of learning algorithms include, but are not
limited to, supervised learning, unsupervised learning, semi-supervised learning, or
reinforcement learning.
[008] Although the FIG. 1 shows various hardware components of the electronic
device 100 but it is to be understood that other embodiments are not limited thereon. In other
15 embodiments, the electronic device 100 may include less or a greater number of components.
Further, the labels or names of the components are used only for illustrative purpose and does
not limit the scope of the invention. One or more components can be combined together to
perform same or substantially similar function in the electronic device 100.

further includes extracting, by the electronic device 100, the accommodation information, a
25 basic travel detail or travel to next destination information, and a current location of the
traveller. At step 206, the method 200 further storing, by the electronic device, the
accommodation information and the basic travel basic travel detail or travel to next
destination information, and the current location in a centralized server or locally on the
electronic device if there is no active internet. At step 208, the method 200 further reporting,
9
by the electronic device, the traveller’s information 5 comprising traveller’s image and
biometrics for authentication, the accommodation information, the basic travel detail or travel
to next destination information, and current location to a local law enforcement office and
bureau of immigration.
