Abstract: ABSTRACT A CONTROL SYSTEM AND METHOD TO MANAGE THE SPRINKLING OPERATIONS ON WATER SPRINKLER EQUIPMENT The present invention relates to the control system and method to manage the sprinkling operations on water sprinkler equipment. The system comprises control system to manage the sprinkling operations on water sprinkler equipment comprises of two power distribution module (1,2) (PDM), motor (3), rocker switches (4) and intelligent control unit (5) with safety interlock. This is a CAN compatible control system that manages the sprinkling operations on water sprinkler equipment. In present equipment the control of the sprinkling operation is carried by two power distribution module (PDM). The input from the operator through Rocker s/w for each operation signal is fed to PDM, based on the intelligent algorithm with safety interlock the output is driven through PDM which in turn rotate the motor and subsequently respective function will take place. FIELD OF INVENTION:
[001] The present invention relates to the field of water sprinkler equipment. The present invention in particular relates to a control system and method to manage the sprinkling operations on water sprinkler equipment.
DESCRIPTION OF THE RELATED ART:
[002] Sprinkling systems have come into extensive use, to control the dust on the haul road and suppress dust in the mining field. The sprinkling operation consists of different operation to mitigate the dust on the environmental such as front sprinkling, rear sprinkling, gravity, mist operation etc. The operator will select the function depending on the requirement.

[004] Publication No. US3007646A relates to a sprinkler which incorporates a valve 1n such a manner that the same is normally urged to its opened positron but can be conveniently engaged by a simple detachable operating member to effect closing and locking of the valve in its closed position.

The temperature and humidity detection module and the dust detection module transmit measured data to the single-chip microcomputer through a single bus, and the single-chip microcomputer transmits the converted data to the water pump control module to control whether to sprinkle water or not. The human body infrared induction module transmits detected pedestrian information to the single-chip microcomputer, and the single-chip microcomputer controls the water pump to stop watering through the water pump control module.

[008] Publication No. CN216304544 relates to a dust suppression vehicle which comprises a chassis, a generator set assembly, a controller area network (CAN) module, a controller, a fan module, a high-pressure water pump module, a low-pressure waterway module, a water sprinkling pipeline module and a tank body assembly, and the tank body assembly supplies water to the fan module through the high-pressure water pump module. The tank body assembly supplies water to the watering pipeline module through the low-pressure waterway module; the generator set assembly is used for supplying power to the fan module, the high-pressure water pump module and the low-pressure water path module, and the chassis provides power for the watering pipeline module through a power takeoff; the generator set assembly is electrically connected with the fan module and the high-pressure water pump module through the controller.

Relates to tar spraying vehicles, and consists in providing a laterally-projecting spraying-device which delivers tar at the side only and at or near the front of the vehicle. Stone chips also may be delivered behind the tar if desired.
[013] Publication No. CN107080913 relates to a urea hydrolysis fire sprinkler system which comprises a sprinkling water supply device, a plurality of urea hydrolysis skid sprinklers and a controller, wherein a water outlet end of the sprinkling water supply device is connected with a water inlet end of each of the urea hydrolysis skid sprinklers; each of the urea hydrolysis skid sprinklers comprises an annular sprinkling pipeline, an ammonia leakage detector and a first pneumatic control valve; the first pneumatic control valves are arranged at water inlets of the annular sprinkling pipelines; the ammonia leakage detectors and the first pneumatic control valves are in electric interlock through interlocking switches; the ammonia leakage detectors are connected with the water outlet end of the sprinkling water supply device; alarm apparatuses are arranged on the interlocking switches; and the ammonia leakage detectors, the first pneumatic control valves and the alarm apparatuses are electrically connected with the controller.
[014] Publication No. CN109026125 relates to a mining water sprinkler which comprises a motor, a rotary disc mechanism, a pipeline mechanism and a water supply mechanism. The motor is horizontally fixed to the upper end of a supporting frame, one end of the rotary disc mechanism is mounted on a spindle of the motor, and the pipeline mechanism is correspondingly arranged at the other end of the rotary disc mechanism. The pipeline mechanism is fixed to the upper end of a stand column, and the pipeline mechanism is connected with the water supply mechanism. The rotary disc mechanism comprises a mounting base, a first-stage rotary disc, a second-stage rotary disc, a third-stage rotary disc and a fourth-stage rotary disc.
[015] Publication No. CN110613910 relates to the field of fire sprinklers, and particularly relates to a water mist sprinkler. The water mist sprinkler comprises a sprinkler main body, wherein the sprinkler main body is of a flat structure, at least two nozzles are arranged on one side face of the flat structure, and the arrangement positions of the at least two nozzles ensure that sprayed mist beams are distributed in a sector. The water mist sprinkler is suitable for installation and fire extinguishing in a battery pack under the condition of ensuring the mist beam quantity.
[016] Publication No. CN213467243 relates to an energy-saving dust removal device for a construction site, which relates to the technical field of dust removal of the construction site, and comprises a water storage tank and a recovery device, the water storage tank is integrally buried underground, the top of the water storage tank is flush with the ground, a distribution box is fixedly mounted at the top of the water storage tank, and the recovery device is connected with the power distribution box.

[018] Publication No. GB1446670 relates to a mining machine in which a sprinkler device is associated with a cutter drum of the machine to wet mineral mined by the cutter to suppress dust associated with the mineral the pipe supplying liquid to the device is provided with a valve, which is caused to close when the machine is stationary, and with a control that will adjust the degree of opening of the valve as a function of the rate of feed of the machine. Preferably a pulse generator is so associated with the haulage winch of the machine that it will supply pulses in proportion to the speed of rotation of the winch to act on a regulator on which also acts a device controlled by the current flowing in the circuit of the drive motor of the cutting drum, the regulator controlling the actuating mechanism of the valve.

[020] Publication No. CN113900400 relates to a control method of a dust suppression vehicle and a dust suppression vehicle. The control method comprises the following steps that: a generator set assembly is started; and when a draught fan module or a high-pressure water pump module is started, a CAN module collects parameters of the generator set assembly, a control message is sent to the generator set according to the rotating speed requirement of the draught fan module or the high-pressure water pump module, the rotating speed of an engine in the generator set is increased, the output power of the generator set is increased, generating capacity can be improved, a phase angle is automatically matched, the voltage is stabilized at 380V, the output power is subjected to one-time distribution and output, and the CAN module provides a loading starting instruction for a controller through the control message.
[021] Publication No. CN220468735 relates to a compact dust flushing and water sprinkling electric locomotive and a dust flushing and water sprinkling electric locomotive group, the compact dust flushing and water sprinkling electric locomotive is used for dragging an automatic dust flushing water tank to flush dust and water, and a water supply system of the compact dust flushing and water sprinkling electric locomotive comprises a water storage tank, a high-pressure pump, a main water supply pipe and a spray head which are communicated with one another, the high-pressure pump is located on the electric locomotive, the water pump motor is used for driving the high-pressure pump, the driving motor is used for driving wheels of the electric locomotive, the electric locomotive comprises a power supply device, and the power supply device is connected with the water pump motor to supply power to the water pump motor.
[022] Publication No. CN201173129 relates to the mist spraying and water sprinkling device is adopted on the down-hole excavation machinery in the coal mine in China, and a dust removing machine installed on the excavation machinery is not adopted. The utility model aims to provide a dust removing machine which has small volume, high efficiency and is suitable to be installed and used on the excavation machinery. The dust removing machine is composed of a spraying nozzle, an impeller, a motor, a pressurizing pump, a pipeline, a filtering screen group, a wave shaped dehydration plate group, a base box, a dirt accumulating box and a dirt discharging opening, and is characterized in that the front axle of the motor is connected with the impeller, the rear axle of the motor is connected with the pressurizing pump, and the filtering screen group is connected with the wave shaped dehydration plate group.
[023] Publication No. CN104226063 relates to a humidification type air dust filter. The dust filter mainly consists of a fog-shaped water granule generator, a filter screen device, an air draft device, a casing and a plurality of connecting and fixing devices, wherein high-pressure fog spray heads in the fog-shaped water granule generator are mounted at the front part of the filter screen device to be used for sprinkling fog-shaped water granules towards the filter screen; the air draft device is mounted at the rear part of the filter screen device to suck outside fog-shaped water granules and air through the filter screen device; the casing and the connecting and fixing devices are used for connecting all the devices into a whole. The air dust filter disclosed by the invention can humidify dry air, has a strong dust removal effect, and automatically cleans the filter screen without replacing the filter screen.
[024] Publication No. CN203702230 relates to an automatic interlock dust-fall control device of a coal-mine mining and digging working face return air water curtain is composed of a controller, a signal receiving device, a water source connection and disconnection control switch, a purification water source pipeline, a purification water curtain spray pipe and an underground direct-current power source, and the purification water source pipeline is provided with a water feeding pipe and a water discharging pipe. The automatic interlock dust-fall control device is characterized in that the signal receiving device is composed of a signal input line and an electromagnetic induction metal clamping ring, the water source connection and disconnection control switch is an electromagnetic valve, the controller is connected with the underground direct-current power source through a power line, one end of the signal input line is electrically connected with the controller, the other end of the signal input line is connected with the electromagnetic induction metal clamping ring which is clamped to the outer surface of a power line of transportation equipment of a mining and digging machine, and the electromagnetic valve is electrically connected with the controller through a signal output line.
[025] Patent No. US5237896 relates to an interlock between a wood working tool and a dust control system in which a standard pressure switch, which can be activated by negative or positive pressure, is located in the dust collector duct which extends to the wood working tool.
[026] Publication No. IN202041034024 relates to an automatic low-pressure water mist sprinkler which is suited for use in the fire extinguishing systems. Further, the embodiments herein relate to a method of providing automatic low-pressure water mist sprinklers in the fire extinguishing systems. The sprinkler includes a sprinkler body having a first end, a second end and a water passageway, a stopper member, an adapter adapted to connect said sprinkler body to a water source. The sprinkler includes, a first member, a second member, and a third member disposed within the water passageway. The automatic low-pressure water mist sprinkler achieves better fire suppression and provides reduction in quantity of water needed for fire extinguishing when compared to conventional water sprinkler.
[027] The article entitled “An efficient automatic water sprinkler design for operate in dust environment” by Akshatha Manjunath; Kavyashree Muldabeedu Kanthraju; Trends in Sciences, Volume 19, Number 14, 15 July 2022 talks about the dust density within the environment must be continuously monitored in open cast mines. Water sprinklers are used to suppress the dust in mining field. Water sprinklers capacity used are of 28,000 and 70,000 L. These conventional water sprinklers comprise of 4 kinds of sprinkling thus the operator must choose and actuate any 1 type of sprinkling which is appropriate to suppress the dust. The traditional water sprinkler is worked physically by the operator that is operator turns on the type of sprinkling dependent on the dust seen by him. This technique does not completely suppress the dust and it’s not accurate. Furthermore, water is squandered if the dust density is according to the directions given by central pollution control board. Supportive to the above background, it is necessarily essential to actualize the water sprinkling system automatically which measures the dust density contained in mine atmosphere and likewise module will consequently actuate the sprinkling so as to suppress the dust in the environment.
[028] Thus presently the water sprinkling system are mechanical type with pneumatic valves, with no electronic system so no in built diagnostics available.
[029] In order to overcome above listed prior art, the present invention aims to provide a electronic control system and method to manage the sprinkling operations on water sprinkler equipment.
OBJECTS OF THE INVENTION:
[030] The principal object of the present invention is to provide a control system and method to manage the sprinkling operations on water sprinkler equipment.
[031] Another object of the present invention is to provide a CAN compatible control system that manages the sprinkling operations on water sprinkler equipment.
[032] Yet another object of the present invention is to provide a water sprinkler equipment with real time motor current are monitored and easy to for diagnostics/ trouble shoot.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION:
[033] The present invention relates to the control system and method to manage the sprinkling operations on water sprinkler equipment. This is a CAN compatible control system that manages the sprinkling operations on water sprinkler equipment. The system comprises of two power distribution module (PDM), motor, rocker switches and intelligent control unit with safety interlock.
[034] Water sprinkler is used to control the dust on the haul road, suppress dust in the mining field. The sprinkling operation consists of different operation to mitigate the Dust on the environmental such as front sprinkling, Rear sprinkling, gravity, Mist etc. The operator will select the function depending on the requirement.
[035] In present equipment the control of the sprinkling operation is carried by two power distribution module (PDM). [036] If pump is ON, after any selected switch (sprinkling operation), the top tank valve will close automatically else water will go to tank, & no pressure will generate which in turn inhibits sprinkling. If switch is in OFF and pump is ON, then water will go to tank, otherwise, pressure will escalate in water pipe line which damages the pipe. So, if pump is ON and any switch is ON then top tank valve will close.
[037] The PDM has in built Over current protection which is CAN compatible device and is easily integrated with LCD dashboard system. So real time Motor current are monitored and easy to diagnostics/ trouble shoot.
BREIF DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
[038] It is to be noted, however, that the appended drawings illustrate only typical embodiments of this invention and are therefore not to be considered for limiting of its scope, for the invention may admit to other equally effective embodiments.
[039] Figure 1 shows the wiring diagram of the control system to manage the sprinkling operations on water sprinkler equipment.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION:
[042] The present invention provides the control system and method to manage the sprinkling operations on water sprinkler equipment. This is a CAN compatible control system that manages the sprinkling operations on water sprinkler equipment. The system comprises of two power distribution module (1,2) (PDM), motor (3), rocker switches (4) and intelligent control unit (5) with safety interlock (fig 3).
[043] Water sprinkler is used to control the dust on the haul road, suppress dust in the mining field. The sprinkling operation consists of different operation to mitigate the dust on the environmental such as front sprinkling, rear sprinkling, gravity, mist operation etc. The operator will select the function depending on the requirement.
[044] Figure 2 shows flowchart according to the present invention. In present equipment the control of the sprinkling operation is carried by two power distribution module (PDM). [047] Numerous modifications and adaptations of the system of the present invention will be apparent to those skilled in the art, and thus it is intended by the appended claims to cover all such modifications and adaptations which fall within the true spirit and scope of this invention.

1. A control system to manage the sprinkling operations on water sprinkler equipment comprises of two power distribution module (1,2) (PDM), motor (3), rocker switches (4) and intelligent control unit (5) with safety interlock.
2. The control system to manage the sprinkling operations on water sprinkler equipment, as claimed in claim 1, wherein the CAN compatible control system manages the sprinkling operations on water sprinkler equipment.
3. The control system to manage the sprinkling operations on water sprinkler equipment, as claimed in claim 1, wherein the sprinkling operation consists of different operation to mitigate the dust.
4. The control system to manage the sprinkling operations on water sprinkler equipment, as claimed in claim 1, wherein the control of the sprinkling operation is carried by two power distribution module (PDM).

The control system to manage the sprinkling operations on water sprinkler equipment, as claimed in claim 1, wherein the input from the operator through Rocker switch for each operation signal is fed to PDM, based on the intelligent control unit with safety interlock the output is driven through PDM which in turn rotates the motor and subsequently respective function will take place.
