Abstract: The present invention relates to a size-adjustable baby diaper that offers a customizable fit, enhanced comfort, and leak-proof protection for infants and toddlers. The diaper features a main body (1) with front (21), back (22), and crotch portions (23) made of absorbent, waterproof, and breathable materials for optimal moisture retention and dryness. It includes a pair of flexible side wings (24a and 24b), reinforced leg openings (25) with leak-proof gussets, and an elastic waistband (26) for a secure yet comfortable fit. Said side are equipped with waist straps (31) on both sides, featuring an adjustable fastening system. Description:TECHNICAL FIELD OF THE INVENTION
[001] The present invention relates to the technical field of diapers, particularly a size-adjustable diaper for infants. More particularly, it relates to reusable cloth diaper including pant-style diapers designed with a fastening system that allows incremental size adjustments. It provides a secure fit, superior comfort, and leakage protection across multiple growth stages of a baby.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
[002] Diapers play a crucial role in infant hygiene by providing absorbency, comfort, and leak protection, ensuring that babies remain dry and comfortable throughout the day. Traditional disposable diapers, while convenient and are harmful as they have chemicals which cause rashes and aren’t approved by doctors, contribute significantly to environmental pollution, generating large amounts of non-biodegradable waste.

[003] On the other hand, conventional reusable cloth diapers, though eco-friendly, often lack proper leakage control and secure fastening mechanisms, leading to frequent discomfort and inconvenience for both caregivers and infants. As a result, there is a need for an innovative diaper design that combines the adjustability and reusability of cloth diapers with the leak-proof efficiency of disposable ones and the convenience of usage.

[004] One of the key challenges in diaper design is size adaptability, as babies grow rapidly during the first few years of life. Disposable diapers come in fixed sizes, requiring frequent replacements as the baby outgrows them, leading to high recurring costs for parents. Similarly, traditional cloth diapers often rely on Velcro or tie-based fastening systems, which may not provide a secure and customizable fit. An adjustable diaper system that can be modified to accommodate different waist and leg sizes would provide a cost-effective and long-term solution but also enhance the convenience of usage, reducing the need for multiple diaper purchases.

[005] Leakage prevention is another critical aspect of diaper functionality. Many cloth diapers fail to provide adequate sealing around the legs and waist, leading to frequent leaks and discomfort. Disposable diapers use elastic reinforcements, but these materials are often non-biodegradable and contribute to landfill waste. An ideal diaper should integrate high-quality elastic bands and leak-proof gussets that provide a snug fit while maintaining comfort and breathability. Additionally, an effective absorbent core with moisture-wicking properties is necessary to keep the baby’s skin dry and reduce the risk of diaper rashes and infections.

[006] Hygiene and skin protection are also major concerns in diaper usage. Prolonged exposure to wetness and bacterial growth can lead to skin irritation, diaper rashes, and infections. Most disposable diapers contain synthetic chemicals and fragrances that may cause allergic reactions in sensitive babies. An improved diaper design should incorporate antibacterial protection layers, hypoallergenic materials, and breathable fabrics to promote better air circulation and prevent microbial growth. Additionally, washable and reusable designs should be constructed with durable, high-quality materials that allow multiple washes without compromising absorbency or structural integrity.

[007] One of the prior art CN208552277U, describes a high-elastic adjustable panty-shape diaper with a protective pad featuring belly and waist guards. The diaper includes foam-rubber cushions for absorbing urine, with the first cushion performing initial absorption and the second cushion absorbing moisture via active carbon fiber cloth. This layered design improves absorption efficiency. The design could be bulky and uncomfortable, restricting the baby's movement. The complexity of the structure may increase manufacturing costs, and the foam-rubber cushions might limit the diaper's flexibility, making it less adaptable to various baby sizes.

[008] Another prior art CN220109966U, discloses a size-adjustable paper diaper featuring a paper diaper body, front and rear waistbands, cloth liner, and urine display strips. It includes a plurality of urine display strips on the outer side and leakage-proof assemblies on both sides of the cloth liner to prevent lateral leakage. The rear waistband has an adjusting assembly with female and male buckles, along with elastic strips and fixing belts to adjust the size, providing a better fit and reducing the tightening force on the baby. The complexity of the adjusting mechanism may increase production costs. The diaper's design could be more difficult to manufacture compared to standard diapers. The elastic strips and buckles might cause discomfort if not properly adjusted. Additionally, the diaper’s structure could be bulkier, affecting mobility.

It addresses the need for a customizable diaper size that adapts to a baby's growth, ensuring comfort by reducing direct tightening pressure. It also prevents leakage and avoids local tightening marks, enhancing the baby’s wearing experience and overall growth environment. However, optimizing the design for cost efficiency and comfort would further improve its practicality.

OBJECTS OF THE INVENTION
[010] The main objective of the invention is to provide a size-adjustable diaper for infants and toddlers.

[011] Another objective of the invention is to incorporate stretchable flexibility for adjustable size modifications.

[012] Another objective of the invention is to enable incremental size adjustments to accommodate babies at different growth stages.

[013] Yet another objective of the invention is to ensure optimal moisture retention and dryness through the use of absorbent, waterproof, and breathable materials.

[014] Yet another objective of the invention is to offer a sustainable design made from durable, washable materials, reducing waste compared to disposable diapers.

[015] Still another objective of the invention is to enhance convenience of usage, allowing for easy wearing, removal, and adjustment to ensure a hassle-free experience for caregivers.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
[016] The present invention relates to a size-adjustable baby diaper that provides a customizable, comfortable, and leak-proof fit for infants of varying sizes. The diaper features a main body comprising of a front portion, back portion, crotch portion, a pair of side wings, reinforced leg openings, and an elastic waistband ensuring an optimal fit as the baby grows. The unique waist strips on side wings along with button and loop fastening system allows for incremental size adjustments, making the diaper reusable over an extended period, reducing the need for frequent size replacements, and promoting sustainability.

According to the main aspect of the invention, said main body of the diaper is made from breathable, waterproof, and absorbent materials. The inner lining incorporates moisture-wicking and antibacterial properties, ensuring dryness and hygiene while preventing rashes and infections. Said crotch portion is further enhanced with an antibacterial layer, adding extra hygiene protection for the baby. Said leg openings are reinforced with elastic bands and leak-proof gussets, providing a secure yet gentle seal against leakage. Additionally, said elastic waistband further enhances the flexibility and secure fit of the diaper.

Another aspect of the present invention, said a pair of side wings incorporates three horizontally aligned elastic waist straps, which help distribute pressure evenly across the waist area. Said side wings are equipped with a plurality of vertically aligned adjustment buttons. These buttons interact with the buttonholes or fastening loops on the back portion of said main body, enabling incremental size adjustments. This system allows caregivers to easily modify the fit as the baby grows, providing both short-term adaptability and long-term usability. The side-release fasteners allow for quick removal and secure attachment, adding to the convenience of diaper changes.

The diaper is made from durable, washable materials, ensuring multiple uses without losing its absorbency or structure. The stitching and eco-friendly absorbent core make it a sustainable alternative to disposable diapers, significantly reducing environmental waste. [019] The present invention relates to a size-adjustable diaper (1) for infants that is designed to provide a customizable fit, superior comfort, and leak-proof protection for infants and toddlers. The diaper is constructed using high-quality, washable materials, making it a cost-effective and eco-friendly alternative to disposable diapers. It features a multi-layered main body (11) consisting of a front portion (21), back portion (22), crotch portion (23), a pair of side wings (24a and 24b) with waist straps (31) comprising adjustment buttons (32) and buttonholes (33), reinforced leg openings (25), and an elastic waistband (26) to ensure a secure and adaptable fit as the baby grows.

[020] Figure 1 depicts the main body of the size-adjustable diaper according to the main invention. Said main body (11) forms the central structure of the diaper, providing coverage, absorbency, and support for the fastening system. It comprises of three sections: A front portion (21) that covers the baby's lower abdomen and serves as the primary contact point for the fastening mechanism. A back portion (22) that extends over the baby’s lower back for securing the diaper in place and A crotch portion (23) that connects the front and back portions, ensuring proper positioning and fluid containment. Said main body (11) is made of multiple layers of absorbent and waterproof materials, which include: An outer waterproof layer, typically made from breathable polyurethane laminate (PUL) fabric, which prevents liquid leakage while allowing adequate air circulation. It is composed of bamboo fiber, cotton, or superabsorbent polymers (SAPs), designed to trap and retain moisture, preventing wetness from reaching the baby's skin. An inner lining, made from hypoallergenic, quick-drying fabric, ensuring that moisture is pulled away from the skin, keeping the baby dry and reducing the risk of diaper rash. Additionally, said crotch portion (23) is lined with an antibacterial protection layer, which inhibits the growth of harmful bacteria, thereby enhancing hygiene and preventing odor formation.

[021] Figure 2 shows an isometric back view of the present invention, highlighting the side wings (24a & 24b), which extend laterally from the back portion (22) of the diaper. These side wings are essential components that facilitate both adjustability and secure fastening, ensuring a snug and comfortable fit for infants of varying sizes. Constructed from soft, breathable, and elastic fabric, the side wings are specifically designed to optimize both comfort and functionality. The materials used promote airflow, reducing the risk of skin irritation or rashes during extended wear, while the elasticity ensures the diaper moves naturally with the baby’s body.

[022] Figure. 3 illustrates the side wings with waist straps and adjustment buttons for size modification. Said side wings (24a & 24b) is integrated with three horizontally aligned waist straps (31) that contribute to the overall fit and flexibility of the diaper. These elastic waist straps are designed to distribute tension evenly across the diaper for a snug and comfortable fit and enhance flexibility around the waist, allowing the diaper to move with the baby's natural motions without causing discomfort. Said side wing also is equipped with a plurality of adjustment buttons (32) arranged in a vertical alignment. These buttons serve as fastening points for securing the diaper in place and allow incremental size adjustments to accommodate different waist sizes. The cross-over fastening design enables caregivers to adjust the diaper to fit both smaller and larger babies, ensuring a customized and secure fit throughout different growth stages.

[023] Figure 4 illustrates the presence of buttonholes loops positioned on the diaper as per the present invention. Said plurality of buttonholes (33) which are positioned on the back portion of the main body, to engage with the adjustment buttons (32), allowing secure fastening and size modification. These elements are systematically arranged in multiple rows and columns, providing a wide range of size customization options. Said buttonholes (33) or fastening loops are reinforced with fabric linings to enhance durability and resistance to tearing, ensuring that frequent adjustments do not damage the diaper structure. The adjustment system allows caregivers to easily modify the diaper’s fit by fastening the adjustment buttons (32) into the desired buttonholes (33), providing a secure, leak-proof fit for babies of different sizes.

[024] Figure 5 shows the right view of the size adjustment diaper. Said leg openings (25) are designed to provide a secure, comfortable, and leak-proof seal around the baby's thighs. These openings incorporate several features to ensure flexibility and protection, including: elastic reinforcements, which expand and contract to provide a snug yet gentle fit without restricting movement and a leak-proof gusset, which create an extra barrier against fluid escape, effectively preventing leaks. A moisture-wicking inner lining, which ensures that the baby’s skin remains dry by drawing moisture away from contact areas, reducing the chances of irritation and rashes. The ergonomic structure of the leg openings ensures that they adjust seamlessly to the baby's natural movements, maintaining comfort during various activities such as crawling, standing, or walking. Said elastic waistband (26) is an integral feature designed to provides a flexible and secure fit, accommodating the baby's waist variations as they grow. Adjustable strap mechanisms, allowing for easy tightening or loosening to ensure a snug yet comfortable fit. Side-release fasteners, enabling quick and hassle-free diaper changes. The waistband is made of breathable, elastic fabric, preventing excessive pressure on the baby’s waist while ensuring optimal comfort and a secure hold.

[025] The size adjustable diaper designed to promote hygiene and skin health, the diaper incorporates several advanced features: The antibacterial crotch lining, which helps inhibit bacterial growth, ensuring enhanced protection against skin infections and odors. The moisture-wicking inner lining, which actively draws moisture away from the skin, keeping the baby dry and comfortable for prolonged periods. Hypoallergenic materials, reducing the risk of allergic reactions, skin irritation, and diaper rash. The combination of these features ensures that the diaper provides superior protection, comfort, and hygiene. The combination of adjustment buttons, buttonholes, and an elastic waistband enables caregivers to customize the diaper’s fit, making it suitable for infants through toddlerhood, eliminating the need for frequent size changes. The diaper is specifically designed for reusability, using high-quality, durable materials that allow multiple washes without compromising performance.

The diaper as claimed in claim 1, wherein said multi layered main body (11) consists of an outer waterproof layer made of breathable polyurethane laminate fabric, an absorbent core composed of bamboo fiber, cotton, or superabsorbent polymer and an inner lining crafted from a hypoallergenic and quick-drying fabric.

3. The diaper as claimed in claim 1, wherein said crotch portion (23) is designed with an antibacterial protection layer to inhibit the growth of harmful bacteria, providing added hygiene and comfort for the baby.

4. The diaper as claimed in claim 1, wherein said side wings (24a & 24b) are made of a soft and elastic fabric to enhance comfort and flexibility during movement.

5. The diaper as claimed in claim 1, wherein said waist straps (31) being configured to provide adjustable tension around the user's waist, thereby enhancing comfort and preventing leakage.
6. The diaper as claimed in claim 1, wherein said adjustment button arrangement (32) on the side wings allows for a cross-over fastening design, suits for both smaller and larger babies.

7. The diaper as claimed in claim 1, wherein said buttonholes or fastening loops (33) are reinforced with fabric lining to enhance durability and prevent tearing from repeated use.
