Battery Cell With In Situ Polymerized Gel Electrolyte For Enhanced Ionic Conductivity And Stability
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a battery cell. The battery cell comprises an electrode assembly, a porous polymer mesh membrane positioned over the electrode, and a polymerized gel electrolyte or gel polymer electrolyte (GPE) formed in-situ from a homogeneous solution introduced into the porous polymer mesh membrane, wherein the homogeneous solution comprises a polymer solution and a liquid electrolyte. The present disclosure also relates a method for fabricating the battery cell or a battery comprising said battery cell.
