A Tribometer

Abstract: The present invention discloses a tribometer (200). The tribometer (200) includes a plurality of frictionless bearings (20) configured to receive a shaft (14) rotatable within the frictionless bearings (20). Further, the tribometer (200) includes a disk (31) secured to another end of the shaft (14). The disk (31) may be partially immersed within a lubrication reservoir (40) containing lubricant. Further, the tribometer (200) include a loading module (50) which include a ball (90) rotatable an axis of the ball shaft (91). The disk (31) may be rotated by rotating the shaft (14) while the ball (90) may to ensure a tribo-contact between the disk (31) and the ball (90).Also, the tribometer (200) includes a pendulum (100) being orientable perpendicular and selectively couplable to the shaft (14), the pendulum (100) being disposed between the plurality of frictionless bearings (20) and configured to swivel about the shaft axis (15).
