An Electrode Active Material And Its Preparations Thereof

Abstract: ABSTRACT AN ELECTRODE ACTIVE MATERIAL AND ITS PREPARATIONS THEREOF The present disclosure provides an electrode active material comprising: a) 25 to 5 30% by weight of a carbon-metal composite; and b) 70 to 75% by weight of sulfur, wherein the carbon-metal composite comprises a carbon material coated with a transition metal compound and the transition metal compound is selected from oxide, or telluride of a transition metal. The present disclosure further provides an electrode active material comprising: a) 10 to 15% by weight of a transition metal 10 compound; b) 15 to 20% by weight of a carbon material; and c) 70 to 75% by weight of sulfur, wherein the transition metal compound is selected from selenide, or telluride of a transition metal. The present disclosure further provides a process of preparing the electrode active materials and also provides a cathode comprising the electrode active material, an electrochemical cell comprising the cathode. 15
