Abstract: ABSTRACT BOTTOM LID FOR A SECONDARY CELL Exemplary bottom lids for being used in secondary cells are described. 5 The secondary cell (200) usually comprises of a casing (200) and the bottom lid (100, 204). In an embodiment, the bottom lid (100, 204) comprises a plurality of semi-pierced protrusions (104, 208) on its periphery. These semi-pierced protrusions (104, 208) are protruded from one surface of the bottom lid (100, 204). During the assembly, the bottom lid (100, 204) is placed on an 10 open end of the casing (200), wherein the plurality of semi-pierced protrusions (104, 208) prevents the bottom lid (100, 204) from moving, thereby ensuring concentricity. Further, the plurality of semi-pierced protrusions (104, 208) is in direct contact with the casing (200) thereby improving laser welding accuracy between the bottom lid (100, 204) and the 15 casing (200). <> 13
