A Wearable Device For Monitoring Hydration Level Of A Subject And A Method Thereof

Abstract: ABSTRACT A WEARABLE DEVICE FOR MONITORING HYDRATION LEVEL OF A SUBJECT AND A METHOD THEREOF The present disclosure describes method (600) and wearable device (400) for monitoring hydration level of a subject. An electric current is measured by second group of electrodes (408) 5 based on an excitation signal supplied by first group of electrodes (408) of the wearable device (400). The wearable device (400) comprises at least one controller (402) configured to determine a plurality of impedance values based on the electric current and compute a phase angle value based on an impedance value. The at least one controller (402) is configured to generate a vector representation associated with the plurality of impedance values and compute 10 values associated with one or more hydration parameters based on the plurality of impedance values. The at least one controller (402) then determines a hydration level of the subject based on an analysis of the phase angle value, the vector representation, and values of one or more hydration parameters.
