Droplet Array, Method(s) And Application(s) Thereof
Abstract: “DROPLET ARRAY, METHOD(S) AND APPLICATION(S) THEREOF” ABSTRACT The present disclosure provides a droplet array designed to stably hold drops or droplets of uniform size and volume and release them on demand. Particularly provided herein is a droplet array comprising a lubricant-infused superhydrophobic sieve with droplets of a suspension of 10 interest trapped within pores of the lubricant-infused superhydrophobic sieve. The present disclosure further provides a method of preparing the lubricant-infused superhydrophobic sieve, a method for preservation of the trapped droplets, a method to enable on-demand release of the droplets and various applications of the droplet array. The droplet array of the present disclosure allows efficient generation, preservation and release of stable, spherical or near 15 spherical droplets which find application across different assays, experiments and tests.
