Abstract: A HYDROLASE ENZYME FOR INHIBITION OF A. BAUMANNII BIOFILM FORMATION AND PRODUCTS THEREOF ABSTRACT 5 The present disclosure provides an article comprising a hydrolase enzyme having an amino acid sequence comprising SEQ ID NO: 1. The hydrolase enzyme inhibits A. baumannii biofilm formation by degrading extracellular polysaccharides that form the biofilm matrix. The hydrolase enzyme has improved antibiofilm activity against A. baumannii, exceptional stability, and prolonged shelf life, when compared to other glycoside hydrolases. The articles 10 comprising the hydrolase enzyme offers a biocompatible, cheaper, and more scalable approach for inhibiting and eradicating biofilms in medical and wound care settings. FIGURE 1
