Perineal Healing Foam Composition And Method For Synthesizing The Same

Abstract: A method of formulating a plant-based perineal healing foam composition is provided. The method includes preparing individual plant-based components, including an anti-inflammatory agent from aloe vera extract, a non-alcoholic astringent agent from witch hazel extract, an anti-microbial agent from neem extract, and an analgesic agent from lavender essential oil. A first mixture is synthesized by combining 45% weight/weight (w/w) aloe vera extract, 40% w/w witch hazel extract, 5% w/w neem extract, and 0.5% w/w lavender essential oil. 5% w/w coco glucoside is added to the first mixture as a plant-based foaming agent to synthesize the final perineal healing composition. The resulting formulation is suitable for topical application and demonstrates a 92% improved wound healing activity, enabling faster healing of episiotomy/perineal tear wounds, prevention from infections, and improved postpartum recovery..
