Abstract: This base station: can perform periodic communication in which data is transmitted and received to and from a communication terminal in a predetermined period; allocates a physical downlink control channel and a physical downlink shared channel used in a first period, which is a downlink data transmission period, when transmitting downlink data; changes the physical downlink shared channel used in the first period in response to a variation in a downlink data amount and notifies a communication terminal of the variation result through the physical downlink control channel allocated in the first period; allocates the physical downlink control channel and a physical uplink shared channel used in a second period, which is an uplink data transmission period, when receiving uplink data; and changes the physical uplink shared channel used in a second period in response to a variation in an uplink data amount and notifies the communication terminal of the variation result through the physical downlink control channel allocated in the second period.
