Communication System

Abstract: A communication system according to the present invention includes: a base station that is applied to a fifth-generation wireless access system; and a repeater that has a beam forming function and performs relay processing between the base station and a communication terminal. The base station transmits, to the repeater, information related to a beam to be used for the relay processing and further transmits a reference signal to be used for measurement for mobility control of the communication terminal. The repeater, upon receiving the reference signal, forms a beam on the basis of the beam-related information received from the base station and transmits the reference signal to the communication terminal, and upon receiving a measurement result of the reference signal from the communication terminal, relays the measurement result to the base station.
