Power Conversion Device For Railway Vehicle

Abstract: A power conversion device (50) comprises: a three-phase inverter (4) that converts direct-current power to alternating-current power for a propulsion motor (15); and a magnetic core (8). The magnetic core (8) comprises: first and second cores (8a, 8b) that are passed through both a three-phase alternating-current power line (5) and a common-mode current return line (6); and a third core (8c) that is passed through only the three-phase alternating-current power line (5). The first core (8a) is arranged on the three-phase inverter (4) side, the second core (8b) is arranged on the propulsion motor (15) side, and the third core (8c) is arranged between the first core (8a) and the second core (8b). When led out to the propulsion motor (15) side from the second core (8b) of the first, second, and third cores (8a–8c), at least one electrical wiring of the three electrical wirings that constitute the three-phase alternating-current power line (5) is led out so as not to be parallel to one or two of the other electrical wirings.
