Abstract: Provided are a charging control apparatus and a charging control method. The charging control apparatus according to the present invention comprises: a voltage sensor for detecting the voltage of a battery cell; and a control unit configured to execute an intermittent charging process for alternately repeating a charging mode and an idle mode for the battery cell. The control unit performs, on the condition that the charging mode is switched to the idle mode while the intermittent charging process is being executed, the following operations of: determining an internal resistance of the battery cell on the basis of the amount of change in the voltage of the battery cell during an idle period in which the idle mode is maintained; and recording internal resistance in association with a state of charge (SOC) of the battery cell.
