Battery Pack Management Device And Operation Method Thereof

Abstract: A battery pack management device according to an embodiment disclosed in the present document may comprise: a communication unit that receives the voltage of one battery cell group among multiple battery cell groups from multiple sensors which measure the voltage of one battery cell group among the multiple battery cell groups; and a controller that calculates the median value of voltage of each of the multiple battery cell groups, calculates the voltage deviations of multiple battery cells of the multiple battery cell groups compared to the median value of voltage of each of the multiple battery cell groups, and compares the voltage deviation of each of the multiple battery cells with a threshold value to diagnose whether any one battery cell among the multiple battery cells is abnormal.
