Abstract: A method (100) for producing at least one part of an article of footwear (10) comprising the following steps: providing (103) a mould (1) defining an open cavity (2) a shape of at least part of the cavity (2) corresponding to a shape of a sole (3) of the article of footwear (10) the cavity (2) being configured to receive via at least one injection channel (4 4 4 4) opening into the cavity (2) a mixture comprising a melt and a supercritical fluid; placing (105) a rim (5) of an opening of the open cavity (2) in contact with a meeting zone (6) at which a surface (7) of at least one part of an upper (9) of the article of footwear (10) meets the sole such that the surface (7) of the at least one part of the upper (9) closes the cavity at the region of contact between the meeting zone (6) and the rim (5); pressurizing (105bis) the cavity (2); injecting (107) the mixture into the cavity (2); depressurizing (108) the cavity (2) of the mould to trigger an expansion of the mixture in the cavity (2) and form the sole (3) from a foamed material resulting from the expansion of the mixture the at least one part of the surface (7) of the at least one part (9) of the upper being caught in said foamed material of the sole (3).
