Battery Fault Diagnosis Apparatus And Method For Determining Fdc Value By Applying Weight

Abstract: The present invention relates to a battery fault diagnosis apparatus and to a method for determining a fault detection counter (FDC) value by applying a weight. The battery fault diagnosis apparatus of the present invention may comprise: a measurement unit for generating measurement data of a cell voltage for each of a plurality of battery cells included in a battery pack; an FDC determination unit for increasing an FDC value with an increasing slope or decreasing the FDC value with a decreasing slope on the basis of a result of comparing the measurement data with a predetermined threshold voltage value; a weight determination unit for determining a target weight to be applied to the increasing slope or the decreasing slope, on the basis of an FDC value at a time point at which the increasing slope or the decreasing slope is applied, and a magnitude of a voltage deviation obtained by subtracting the threshold voltage value from the measurement data; and a DTC setting unit for setting a DTC value corresponding to the FDC value to a first value indicating that the battery pack is abnormal, when the FDC value reaches a predetermined upper threshold value, and setting the DTC value to a second value indicating that the battery pack is normal, when the FDC value reaches a predetermined lower threshold value.
