Abstract: A communication system according to the present invention includes: a base station that is compatible with a 5G wireless access system; communication terminals that connect to the base station; and a device that connects to the base station or one of the communication terminals. In a state where the device is connected to one of the communication terminals, the base station acquires information concerning the status of communication between the device and the communication terminal, as well as information concerning the status of reception at another communication terminal, which differs from the communication terminal to which the device has transmitted a signal, determines, on the basis of one of or both the information concerning the status of communication and the information concerning the status of reception that have been acquired, whether or not it is necessary to switch the communication terminal to which the device is connected, and determines a communication terminal to which switching is to be performed when it is necessary to switch the communication terminal to which the device is connected.
