Abstract: An apparatus for managing a battery, according to one embodiment of the present invention, comprises: a reference information storage unit configured to store a reference profile including a reference negative electrode profile; a profile generation unit configured to generate negative electrode profiles of a plurality of batteries by using the reference profile and charge/discharge profiles of the plurality of batteries; a characteristic information generation unit configured to generate negative electrode change ratios of the negative electrode profiles with respect to the reference negative electrode profile for the plurality of batteries; a calculation processing unit configured to calculate a relative difference between the plurality of negative electrode change ratios; and a diagnosis unit configured to diagnose states of the plurality of batteries by using a calculation result of the calculation processing unit.
