Abstract: Process for producing (NH4)2CO3 and Na2CO3 in an electrodialyzer cellstack by feeding a base chamber of the electrodialyzer cellstack with an aqueous solution comprising NH4Cl, NaCl, dissolved CO2 and obtaining an outlet solution from the base chamber comprising (NH4)2CO3 and Na2CO3, and wherein the pH of the outlet solution from the base chamber is at most 9.5.
