Rolling Roll And Related Dismounting Method

Abstract: A rolling roll (10), in particular for long products, comprising a shaft (1) and one or more rolling rings (2a, 2b) mounted on the shaft (1), wherein the shaft (1) and the one or more rolling rings (2a, 2b) are coupled to one another with interference, in particular without mechanical clearances between the shaft (1) and the one or more rolling rings (2a, 2b), and wherein the internal surface (21 a, 21 b) of the one or more rolling rings (2a, 2b) is glued to a surface (11) of the shaft (1); and a method for dismounting the one or more rolling rings (2a, 2b) of the shaft (1) of this rolling roll (10), in which the steps of: a) cooling the shaft (1) by means of a cryogenic fluid, preferably liquid nitrogen, in particular so as to reduce the diameter of the shaft (1); b) removing the one or more rolling rings from the shaft (2a, 2b) are provided.
