Abstract: AN IMPACT ABSORPTION DEVICE FOR A VEHICLE ABSTRACT An impact absorption device (100) for a vehicle is disclosed. The impact absorption device (100) comprises a structure (102) configured to be mounted in front of a chassis of the vehicle, the structure (102) comprises a base plate (104) having a plurality of ribs to enhance structural strength and distribute collision forces across the base plate (104), at least one vertical plate (106) having a plurality of holes (112) configured to enable coupling of the structure (102) to the chassis through a plurality of fasteners, a curved section (108) to absorb, reduce, and transfer forces generated during a collision from the base plate (104) toward the at least one vertical plate (106). The curved section (108), the at least one vertical plate (106), and the base plate (104) define a cavity. At least one hollow member (110) to provide flexibility, energy absorption, and progressive load transfer to the structure (102). <>
