Abstract: A NOISE REDUCTION AND DURABILITY ENHANCEMENT IN FIFTH WHEEL COUPLER ASSEMBLY ABSTRACT A noise reduction and durability enhancement in fifth wheel coupler assembly (100) is disclosed. The noise reduction and durability enhancement in fifth wheel coupler assembly (100) comprises a coupler plate (102), a saddle structure (104), and at least one pair of coil springs (106), a plurality of polyurethane (PU) bushes (112) disposed between the at least one pair of coil springs (106) and adjacent metallic components including the saddle structure (104) and the coupler plate (102). The plurality of PU bushes are configured to act as a non-metallic interface to prevent direct contact between the at least one pair of coil springs (106) and the adjacent metallic components. A central axis of each coil spring is maintained concentric with a central axis of the saddle. The plurality of PU bushes restricts free lateral motion of the at least one pair of coil springs (106) during compression, rebound, and unladen conditions. <
1. A noise reduction and durability enhancement in fifth wheel coupler assembly (100), comprising a coupler plate (102), a saddle structure (104), and at least one pair of coil springs (106) disposed at a front end (108) and a rear end (110) of the noise reduction and durability enhancement in fifth wheel coupler assembly (100) for absorbing road shocks during towing; a plurality of polyurethane (PU) bushes (112) disposed between the at least one pair of coil springs (106) and adjacent metallic components including the saddle structure (104) and the coupler plate (102), wherein the plurality of PU bushes are configured to act as a non-metallic interface to prevent direct contact between the at least one pair of coil springs (106) and the adjacent metallic components, wherein a central axis of each coil spring is maintained concentric with a central axis of the saddle structure (104) by the plurality of PU bushes, and wherein the plurality of PU bushes restrict free lateral motion of the at least o

FIELD OF THE DISCLOSURE
[0001] this invention generally relates to a field of vehicle coupling and towing systems, and in particular, to a noise reduction and durability enhancement in fifth wheel coupler assembly and method thereof.
BACKGROUND
[0002] The subject matter discussed in the background section should not be assumed to be prior art merely as a result of its mention in the background section. Similarly, a problem mentioned in the background section or associated with the subject matter of the background section should not be assumed to have been previously recognized in the prior art. The subject matter in the background section merely represents different approaches, which in and of themselves may also correspond to implementations of the claimed technology.
[0003] Suspended fifth wheel coupler assemblies are widely employed in tractor–trailer vehicles to provide a mechanical coupling between a tractor and a trailer w , Claims:We Claim:
