A Continuous Flow Process For Manufacturing Metal Salts Of Medium Chain Fatty Acids

Abstract: The invention discloses a continuous flow process for manufacturing metal salts of medium chain fatty acids, from medium chain fatty acids and corresponding metal alkoxides in presence of a solvent system comprising of a polar solvent such as acetonitrile and a non-polar solvent such as n-heptane wherein the non-polar solvent facilitates the precipitation of the metal salts of medium chain fatty acids as pure crystalline polymorphs with considerably higher yield percentages.
