Abstract: The present invention discloses 4-substituted arylamidine compounds of formula (I), wherein, R1, R2, R3, R4, R4a, R5, A and D are as defined in the detailed description. The present invention further discloses methods for their preparation and the use of the compounds of formula (I) as crop protection agents.
