Abstract: A battery clamp structure (112) of an electric vehicle (100) is disclosed. The battery clamp structure (112) is configured to hold at least one battery module (120) from 5 above. The battery clamp structure (112) includes a plurality of securing members (114, 116) configured to secure the at least one battery module (120). The plurality of securing members (114, 116) are configured to face at least a portion of one or more faces of the at least one battery module (120). The battery clamp structure (112) is configured to act as a flexible body to accommodate the tolerances in the 10 at least one battery module (120) as well as to act as a rigid body to withstand the vertical loads experienced by the at least one battery module (120).
