, Description:Field of Invention:
The present embodiment relates to mobile phone devices and their accessories and more particularly to a protective case / back cover panel for mobile phone device with an in-built surge battery recharging system.

Background of Invention:

In recent years, the use of mobile phone devices such as smartphones, tablet computers, personal digital assistants and other such devices has increased considerably, owing to their capacity to handle multiple tasks such as emails, editing calendars, managing appointments and reminders, browsing internet, watching videos, films, listening music etc. However, the traditional lithium-ion batteries that are used to power such devices haven’t been able to keep up in terms of their capacity, which is directly proportional to their size, so that they may last a whole day. Usually, such devices, especially smartphones, do not last a one full day i.e. 24 hours on a fully charged battery of any capacity. The general capacity that is used in smartphones ranges from 2000 mAh to 4000 mAh, with some exceptions, which, owing to the multiple tasks they are put to, doesn’t power them for more than 6-7 hours. This forces users to carry the chargers of their devices; battery packs etc., and charge the batteries at various establishments such as coffee shops, railway stations and basically hurts their flexibility and mobility.

In order to provide the users with an option to charge on-the-go, while they indulge in their day-to-day work, several mobile phone protective cases / back cover panels with inbuilt battery have been now made available in the market place. They come with battery capacity almost similar as the mobile phone device that they are enclosing. However, here too, the user needs to charge the mobile phone case / back cover panel on daily basis in the given duration and task of the day, it is imperative that there is healthy battery backup available in the mobile phone case / back cover panel, when it is not powering the mobile phone device.

Accordingly, there remains a need for mobile phone device cases / back cover panels with in-built charging and powering capacity and also be able to rely on other sources of energy on-the-go.

Summary of Invention:

In an aspect, a case / back cover panel for protecting and charging portable electronic devices is provided. The case / back cover panel includes: a number of photovoltaic cells arranged on an external surface of the case / back cover panel; anda first induction coil arranged on an internal surface and connected to the plurality of photovoltaic cells. The case / back cover panel further includes: a first battery connected to the first induction coil; a second battery; a second induction coil arranged on the second battery, for the second battery to receive charge from the first battery.

A mobile application or program is used to activate the first induction coil to charge the first battery, in turn the second battery through the second induction coil. The portable electronic device is a smartphone, a mobile phone, a tablet PC, or a personal digital assistant.
