A Catholyte Composition And Preparation Method Thereof

Abstract: ABSTRACT A CATHOLYTE COMPOSITION AND PREPARATION METHOD THEREOF The present disclosure provides a catholyte composition comprising: an active material having a formula LiNixMnyCozO2, wherein x+y+z=1; a solid electrolyte; a first conductive carbon having a surface area in a range of 800 to 2500 m2/g; and a second conductive carbon having a surface area in a range of 10 to 200 m2/g; wherein the first and second conductive carbon are in a weight ratio in the range of 58:42 to 62:38, preferably in a weight ratio of 60:40; wherein the ionic conductivity of the catholyte composition is 10-2 to 10-3 S/cm. The present disclosure further provides a method of preparing the catholyte composition and an electrochemical cell comprising the catholyte.
